May - August 2016
Moravia, one of three - along with the Czechs and Czech Silesia - the lands of the Czech Republic. The land is beautiful with its landscapes, palaces and castles and colorful folklore. Moravian landscapes, especially in May, bloom with beauty, when the yellow with greenery meanders through countless hills of local fields and copses. Among them, numerous palaces and castles glisten in fabulously colorful gardens and forests at this time of the year, telling the rich history of the Moravian land. The place is occupied by the Lednice-Veltice palace and park complex, called the "Garden of Europe", with its beauty on the UNESCO World Heritage List, next to four more architectural gems of Moravia. Moravian folklore has also been included in the list of the intangible heritage of UNESCO in the representation of the Vlčín procession, The Ride of Kings and the Verbuňk dance.
It is worth giving in to the charms of the Moravian region using also 1200 kilometers of cycle routes winding among fields, vineyards, forests, palaces and getting acquainted with this charming land of our southern neighbors.
